Some projects flow so naturally, they feel like destiny. Working with N.M. Harvey on the design of her book, I Hope You Die Laughing, led seamlessly into branding her law firm, Nevada Counsel. This project is a testament to the power of strategy-first thinking, and how deeply aligned design can communicate a company’s core values and mission. At Gregg Design Company, we believe the best brands don’t just look good, they feel right. They resonate. They leave a lasting impression. We worked directly from our Brand Strategy Field Guide, asking the deep, sometimes tough questions: Why does this company exist? How should clients feel when they work with you? What makes you stand apart from competitors?
This intentional process allowed us to shape a brand identity that reflects Nevada Counsel's integrity, compassion, and professionalism. From the custom logo to the brand guidelines book, every design decision was crafted with purpose and care. We didn’t just design a logo, we designed a brand atmosphere. So much so that you could envision the snacks in their office and what music would be playing when you’re on hold. Everything comes into play when designing a visual identity for a company that wants their brand to listen, speak, care, deliver, and most importantly, be trusted. This project has brought a new awareness to me personally. Working on Nevada Counsel’s branding reminded me how critical it is to plan for the future. As we grow older, start families, and build our lives, having end-of-life directives and an estate plan in place provides clarity and peace of mind. My next plan is to start this process for my own family, my kids, my wife, knowing everything will be in order. It’s a profound feeling of security and knowing they’ll be taken care of. I mean, honestly, I wake every morning with gratitude knowing that Andrea is laying beside me and my kids are healthy. It's the little things that evoke what your purpose is for the day that has been gifted to you.
